Mosaic Tile Backsplash

The mosaic glass tile backsplash adds just the right amount of bling to this lovely kitchen. Glass is so beautiful, and fun to work with.

Italian Style Entry

Here is a custom design using two sizes of Marmorino tiles, accent rosettes and a decorative border of metallic floral design.

Plaster finish in a powder room.

American clay plaster is a wonderful natural finish for a room such as Nancy's powder room. She wanted just a hint of warm color so I added a small amount of pigment to the loma.

The plaster adds an enchanting atmosphere of old world charm and substance. It makes you feel good. My camera can not do justice to the texture and subtle gleam of minerals in this lovely plaster formulated in the American Southwest.

Vibrant Color

Nancy already had some rich golden hues on the walls of her condo. She added new bamboo flooring and got her fireplace trimmed with tiles and wood. I suggested a dark teracotta accent for the chimney, toned down the yellow just a bit, and we found the perfect complementary green for the stairwell.

Tile Countertops

My Birch Bay clients had to go on vacation again, so that Gary and I could give them a brand new kitchen. I tiled the countertops and painted the new walls.
I chose 4 inch venetian stone tiles, which were a dream to work with and finished beautifully.

Shower tile

In cooperation with my contractor friend, Gary Markusen, I tiled this shower surround for clients in Birch Bay, Washington. Gary framed the window with marble trim, and I placed alternating light/dark tiles, ceramic soap shelves and accent tiles. The clients are over the moon in love with their new shower. They insist on showing it off to their neighbors, who now want tile too.

Kitchen Colorwash

Here is a kitchen that I painted in Lynden. The homeowner wanted a wall finish that blended the decorative elements and added depth and richness to the space. I started with a warm taupe base coat, then built up layers of glaze, brushing on and ragging off. I even added a subtle touch of metallic.

With new walls, countertops and glass tile backsplashes, this family loves their new kitchen!
